About

From A Coruña to stages around the world.

I am David Maestro (A Coruña, 1997). I discovered magic at nine. By fourteen it became my professional career.

At eighteen I was chosen from thirteen young magicians to compete on Pura Magia, RTVE's first major magic talent show. I reached the final. Then came Hora Punta, several regional TV collaborations, and a finalist run on Spain's Got Talent.

For the past years I have been the resident magician of Virgin Voyages, performing in the main theatre of their luxury cruise ships to full audiences and standing ovations. Sir Richard Branson watched one of those shows and called it "one of the best shows I've ever seen".

My magic is defined by innocence, humour and connection with the audience. More than creating impossible moments, I make people laugh, take part, and feel like part of the trick from the very first minute.

For seasons I have been the resident magician of Virgin Voyages, performing in the main theatre of their cruise ships to full houses. One night, Sir Richard Branson, founder of Virgin Group, walked in and sat down in the fourth row.

How long is a show?

Depends on the format. Stage shows run 45 to 60 minutes. Cocktail magic works in short sets of 5 to 10 minutes per table, across the length of the event (typically 1 to 3 hours). Both are adjustable.

Do you perform outside A Coruña?

Most of the time, yes. I live in A Coruña but the work takes me across Spain, Europe, Latin America and Virgin Voyages' international cruise routes. Travel is agreed upfront and included in the quote.

What languages do you perform in?

Spanish and Galician fluently, English at stage level. The stage show has passages that work without words, so it adapts well to mixed or international audiences.

What do you need from the venue?

Stage: basic sound, front lighting, and a 4×3 m minimum area. I can bring my own rig if the venue has none. Cocktail: nothing — just tables to walk up to.

How much does it cost?

Every event is different (audience size, length, travel, tech requirements). I typically send a quote within 24 hours of hearing the details. Get in touch and we'll talk.

What if the event has children?

I don't do children's magic. My show works with adult or mixed audiences from about 12 upwards. If the event is fully family with young kids, I'll point you to someone specialised.

Can you perform on TV / on camera?

Yes. I have experience working with camera crews and adapt the execution to the angles and pacing the shoot needs. Write with the project details.
